Privacy Policy
The short version: no account or email is required to use Elgon. We never see your brokerage password. Payments are handled by Stripe. API keys are stored in your own browser and, server-side, only as key records with usage counters.
1. What we collect
- API usage: when you call the API we record the key used and per-minute request counts, to enforce rate limits. Standard server logs (IP, user agent, path) are kept by our hosting provider (Vercel) for operations and abuse prevention.
- API keys: generated keys are stored server-side as key records (no name or email attached) and locally in your browser's storage so your dashboard can show them.
- Payments: if you buy a plan, the checkout runs on Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and email — we never see your card number. We store the payment confirmation (email, plan, amount, Stripe IDs).
- Brokerage connect: if you link a brokerage account, authentication happens on SnapTrade's portal. We never receive your brokerage password. We receive read-only balances, positions and history, which are displayed to you and not sold or shared.
2. What we don't do
- No selling or sharing of personal data with advertisers.
- No email accounts, no marketing lists, no newsletters.
- No trading permissions on any linked account — read-only, always.
3. Third parties we rely on
Vercel (hosting and logs), Supabase (database for keys, usage counters and payment records), Stripe (payments), SnapTrade (brokerage connections), and public market-data sources for quotes. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.
4. Cookies and local storage
The site does not use advertising cookies. Your browser's local storage keeps your generated API keys and connection state so the dashboard works without an account. Clearing site data removes them.
5. Data retention and deletion
Key records and usage counters are kept while the key exists. To delete a key and its data, or a payment record, contact us at hello@elgonrpc.xyz and we'll remove it.
6. Changes
We may update this policy; the date above reflects the current version.
