ELGON FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Elgon’s verifiable market-data API for Robinhood.

See our list of FAQ in our docs.

Elgon is an API for enriched market data across the Robinhood surface. It provides delayed pricing, charts, and aggregated data for stocks, ETFs, and crypto — plus simulated, sandbox-labelled options and prediction-market data — through one REST API.

Elgon is an independent project, not affiliated with Robinhood.

Most API providers just take raw market data and put an API wrapper around it. They then leave the data enrichment process up to the builders. Elgon takes this data and makes it instantly useful for a variety of different use-cases.

The Elgon API has a variety of use cases, including trading terminals, analytics platforms, retail brokerages, robo-advisors, options-flow tools, prediction-market frontends, LLMs, and trading bots. Visit our case studies for examples of applications using Elgon.

Getting an API key is free and quick. Once you've created your key, review our documentation for instructions on how to integrate Elgon into your application.

If you still have questions, contact support for more help.

Elgon starts with a free tier ($0, 60 requests/min) so you can build right away. The Growth plan is $350/month (600 requests/min), billed via Stripe.

For higher volumes, the Enterprise plan has custom limits and pricing sized to your needs.

Check our pricing page for more details.

Every call to a REST endpoint that returns data counts as one request.

Elgon is REST-only — there are no webhooks or websocket streams.

Yes. Elgon offers a simple REST API with comprehensive documentation, making migration straightforward.

Many teams find that Elgon's consolidated dataset (delayed quotes, instrument search, plus sandbox options chains and prediction contracts) simplifies their architecture by reducing the number of data sources.
